NDT Level II
ASNT NDT Level II (American Society for Nondestructive Testing Nondestructive
Testing Level II) certification is a widely recognized qualification for
individuals working in the field of nondestructive testing (NDT).
NDT is a set of techniques used to evaluate the properties of materials and
components without causing damage. NDT is used in a wide range of industries,
including aerospace, automotive, construction, and energy.
ASNT NDT Level II certification indicates that an individual has demonstrated
proficiency in conducting and interpreting NDT tests, including ultrasonic
testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, eddy current testing,
and visual testing.
To obtain ASNT NDT Level II certification, an individual must first obtain ASNT
NDT Level I certification and then complete additional training and work
experience. Certification requires passing a written examination and
demonstrating practical proficiency in conducting NDT tests.
ASNT NDT Level II certification is highly valued in the NDT industry and is
often a requirement for employment in NDT positions. ASNT also offers additional
certification levels, including ASNT NDT Level III, which is the highest level
of certification and indicates a high level of expertise and responsibility in
the field of NDT.
